Tuition Fees
Tuition Fees are charged on total credit hour basis. Fees at BU are comparatively lower than that of most of the private universities in Bangladesh.
The university also offers remedial (non-credit) course in English and Mathematics. Passing these remedial courses is a pre-requisite for continuing as a student. If a student fails in the remedial courses for the first time, s/he will have to pay repeat the course paying regular course fees.

Payment Procedure
Students should pay semester fees in full on the day of registration. A late registration fee of Taka 500 is charged from a student who registers or pays his/her fees after the regular registration period. A student’s obligation to pay tuition and other fees is not reduced by the approval to defer payment. All dues must be paid before the mid term and final examinations in order to be eligible to appear at the examinations.
Issuance of Official Transcript
For issuance of an official academic transcript a fee of taka 300 will be charged.
Financial Aid
The Private University Act of 1992 requires that private universities should offer scholarships to 5 (five) percent of its poor but meritorious students. Bangladesh University firmly believes that nurturing talent is essential for establishing an equitable and exploitation free society in Bangladesh. Anyone who has secured GPA-5 in HSC examination of that year or anyone with equivalent results in O and A levels is entitled to a full tuition scholarship for 30 (thirty) credits. Full tuition scholarships for the next 30 credits or more will be allowed from the second year onwards. For scholarships a full-time student is one who has completed at least 30 credits hours in three consecutive semesters.
Need and Result-based scholarships are also available for continuing students with a minimum CGPA of 2.5
Refund Policy
Applications for withdrawal from the university or from a course after registration period is over must be made in writing to the Registrar through respective Heads of departments. Merely notifying an instructor will not be sufficient. In cases of authorized withdrawals, and changes in schedule/registration (adds and drops), adjustment of semester tuition and other fees will be made as per provisions mentioned in the academic calendar.
No adjustment is authorized for the Admission fee or other assessed fees, financial assistance will be projected on the same basis as the adjustment policy.
Withdrawal as a result of serious illness or disabling accident will be subject to review by the University for Possible Variations from the policy described above. Such events are considered on a case to case basis. No adjustment will be made for a student who is suspended, dismissed, or expelled for breach of discipline.
